Handling Viagra's Side-Effects with Diet

When you're already taking one medication, you don't want to have to take others just to treat what the first one does to you. That is, you don't want to have to take one pill to manage the side-effects of another. On the other hand, you can't just let the symptoms go and live in discomfort. Fortunately, with careful planning, something you already do multiple times a day already can solve a lot of problems associated with erectile disfunction medication

Many people do not experience any side-effects while on medication, but if you're one of the unlucky ones, below you can find methods to treat those side-effects by being selective with what you eat.

Diarrhea

  • Drink lots of water.
  • Avoid caffeine as much as you can. It makes you have to go!
  • Avoid fried foods.
  • Never eat meat or dairy when you have diarrhea.
  • Reduce the amount of fiber in your diet. High fiber foods include fruits, vegetables, whole grain, nuts, and seeds. If you really want fruit, remove the skin and membranes from your apples and pears.
  • You don't want to get really bad cramps, so stay away from foods that cause gas. This includes beans, broccoli, cauliflower, onions, soda, beer, gum, and especially cabbage.
  • You might want to try to eat lots of rice and bananas.

Headache

  • Eat plenty of foods full of water and fiber. If you also have diarrhea, try to avoid the fiber though. These foods include:
    • Whole grains (oats, brown rice, quinoa)
    • Fruits, veggies, and berries (avocado, papaya, mangos, carrots, blueberries, yams, broccoli)
    • Beans and lentils
    • Nuts, nuts, nuts
  • Stock up on Magnesium. It  lubricates the nerves and muscles, which helps stop headaches. Eat lots of almonds, avocados, brown rice, garlic, greens, and grapefruit.
  • Make sure you eat loads of Potassium. If you've got a headache AND diarrhea (poor you), then bananas are your best bet. A lack of potassium causes nervousness, insomnia, and depression, all of which can make your headache worse. Avocados, almonds, and yams are some more foods packed with potassium.
  • To improve your circulation, try to up your vitamin-E intake. Oatmeal, yams, flax, nuts, and beans are perfect.

Heartburn

Never eat these foods!!!

  • Chicken and beef
  • Orange juice, lemons, tomatoes, lemonade, grapefruit juice, and cranberry juice
  • Fried food
  • Dairy
  • Uncooked onions
  • Mac&Cheese or spaghetti with sauce
  • Alcohol, coffee, and tea
  • Salad dressing
  • Dessert foods

Dizziness

When you're dizzy on your Viagra, you want to make sure you're not anemic. Try to eat foods rich in iron. Specifically, make sure you have foods rich in heme-iron. That's what your body needs the most.
These include:

  • Broccoli
  • Almonds
  • Freshly cooked beans (they lose their efficacy if canned)
  • Blackstrap molasses
  • Enriched breakfast cereal
  • Baked potatoes—eat the skin!
  • Asparagus

Just in case your blood sugar is low and that is causing the dizzy spell, have a spoonful of peanut butter or a glass of orange juice.

Viagra is not known for its side-effects. It is known for being the best drug available for men with erectile disfunction. However, if you happen to have some side-effects, don't panic. Try making these simple adjustment to your diet before going off your viagra or generic viagra that you bought online. If you experience any severe side-effects, talk to your doctor right away.
